Kerhong's guide on how to stream in 2012

Hello there, I have been trying to stream since like 1 month and the stream seems to be at a relatively good quality but it laggs sometimes. I think I'm not doing something right. My specs are:
AMD Athlon x4 750K, 3.4 GHZ
nVidia Geforce GT 630
2x2 Gigabytes of ram
Windows 7 if that matters xD

Im using OBS. Any ideas? My buffer is 2500 and I use CBR because I have read that it is better. But tbh, I don't understand anything about streaming so I would be happy if you people could help me out a bit with buffer size.
EDIT: And other stuff that might help me xd
Edit2: The first speed test is for my country. Here is one for the server that is selected in OBS (frankfurt) - http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/2847364952.

hey guys, i thought ill try streaming lil bit for fun when i dont have anything else to do, but i dunno which settings i should choose, and i dunno if my pc/internet can handle streaming at all, so i wanted to ask you what you think about this:

Laptop:
Intel Pentium CPU2117U 1,8 GHz
8 gb RAM
Intel HD Graphics @1366x768

Is it possible to stream with this?

Totally depends on what content you're streaming. Anything that's stressing your CPU will fuck your stream. It's already slow and only two cores. Although streaming a show like 'Inside the Game' or 'ValueTown' could be a possibility, I assume that's not what you had in mind.

http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu ... 40+1.80GHz shows you how your CPU performs relative to "common" CPU's these days.

The CPU is frankly awful and you will hit the limit faster than you can max out that puny upload.

I tried to stream with 24/1, 1Mbps upload just doesn't cut it, it's impossible to stream decent quality without affecting your latency.

So upgrade both before you even think of streaming.

On the other hand my 3570K seems to handle 1440p streaming just fine.

Anywhere between 2.5k and 4k bitrate, [email protected] with preset Fast or better.

Now obviously you can do something like 20k bitrate 1080p, but most viewers won't be able to watch it, and twitch doesnt like anything above 6k bitrate.
